Chad Robran, a longtime St. Thomas women's track and field sprints assistant coach, has been named the 2012 Central Region Assistant Coach of the Year by the U.S. Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association (USTFCCCA).
Robran's sprinters played a large role in the Tommie women sweeping the MIAC indoor and outdoor team championships. His 4x100 relay quartet placed seventh at nationals and broke a school record with a season best of 47.04.
